thought process

Research question, first, we start with the issue about “creating” directly, our first research question is:

What factors lead people to create?

Lines of inquiry:

1.why do they create?

  1. What kind of factor lead people to create?

3.what kinds of people are led by theses factors

  1. How do they create?

But afterwards we found that this research question is a little bit too general. We didn’t mention that what specific thing that people create, things like paintings, inventions or even lives (like Frankenstein creates a new life for benefiting human being and remind his name in the world).

After thinking twice, we decided to change our research question to

Why do people explore new technology?

Lines of inquiry:

  1. What kinds of people want to explore new technology?
  2. Why do they want to do that?
  3. Do they have deeper purpose of that?
  4. What kind of technology that they want to explore?
  5. What is the connection between this research question and Frankenstein?

Before we start to do some research, we decided to base this question on the biology, physics and ethical problems.

That’s great, Bruce. I like the way you reflect on how and why you changed the original focus of your research.

One thing to remember, though, is that your reader may not be someone from our class, or even from our school, so you need to give add context to your post by writing some sort of introduction. You can do this by going to ‘edit’ and adding something at the beginning so that your reader will know why you are trying to come up with a research question, and a bit more detail of the situation.
