Reflection of Animal Farm

In the novel Animal Farm, the writer uses a farm as the background. Every character in that farm stands for a sort of people (person). For example, the pig Napoleon stands for Stalin and the horses stand for the workers at that time. The writer

Animal Farm tells us a story that happened in a farm. People in that farm are greedy and selfish. They force the animals to do lots of works everyday without taking any rest and giving them enough food.

As a result, the pigs, which are the leaders of the animals, call the animals to banish the human from the farm, they make speech of the importance of freedom and animalism.

After they banish the human away, they start their new life. Everything is right at first, animals live happily and everyone is working hard to protect the farm from the attack of the human. However, an avid pig called Napoleon wants to take over everything in the animal farm and to dominate all the animals. So, awful things start.

Firstly, talk about how does Napoleon gain his power. In the animal farm, pigs are considered as the brains of the farm because their intelligence. Napoleon uses it to implement his plan step by step. He gives speech to brainwash other animals, he also distorts the laws that Old Major made to get many special rights for himself, what’s worse is that in order to keep controlling everything in the farm, Napoleon pretend as a wise and nice leader when he faces the crowed while he always plans to root out the animals that don’t want to obey him. In short, Napoleon is definitely a selfish leader who only uses power to satisfy his own desire.

As we can see, Napoleon is an example of being corrupted and blinded by the power. He can’t discipline himself and his enormous power, instead of using it to satisfy himself. A good leader should always considers about the crowds instead of himself. So, clearly, Napoleon is a corrupted leader who is blinded by his own power.2.pic
